Welcome to our home. This actually started about 40 years ago even though I didn't know it at the time. I was catching fence lizards, skinks, frogs and turtles. Oh yes, and snakes. Luckily for my sake nothing venomous. My love of reptiles has always been strong. Never long without one in my care. I've read, studied and kept up with the trends in care and breeding. Even biology without even realizing it. The passion for reptiles has caught up with my family. Courtney is an animal lover and reptiles are something she kinda grew into. She handles the business end along with the rodents. Trey developed a passion for geckos and then boas and is my right hand man with the boa breeding program. He is away at WCU now but chips in when he's home. Austin and Jena are still young yet but are fascinated by our animals and keep us busy chasing mice they like to set free. I'm AJ and I lend the muscle and bring up the rear as most of us guys do. I'm into a little of it all, especially the care of the animals. Everything from temps to food to the enclosures and racks that I build with the help of my family. Schneller Reptiles is family owned and operated specializing in captive bred boa constrictors and feeder rodents. Located near Raleigh, N.C. If you have any questions, please contact us.

News:

10/15/2007 - All photos were updated on the for sale page. Some prices were lowered and some increased. These animals are growing and getting better and better.

We will be at the NARBC show in Chantilly VA on Oct. 27 and 28, 2007. If you are there come by and say hello. All of these babies will be there.

08/27/2007 - Daytona has come and gone. I must say it was a blast. We met some very nice people and a few boa breeding icons. Dave and Tracy Barker, Bill Kirby, Frank Martin to name a few that we met for the first time. Chatting with Pete Kahl who was busier than ever and Doug Matuszak of the Boa Basement is always interesting to say the least especially about their new projects. Some of the new boa morphs that seem to be springing up yearly were on display to see and it appears that only the surface has been scratched.

September 1-2, 2007 come visit with us at the NC Reptile and Exotic Animal Show in Raleigh. It's kind of our home for Reptile shows not only being the closest to our home but we are made to feel at home by the show's promoters Alex and Brett. They are doing a great job and working hard at getting this show back to the best show in the south. So come out, stop by and say hello

Also come and show your support for the NC Association of Reptile Keepers. This non-profit organization continues to need your support. You can donate or join by visiting their web site, ncark.org. The NCARK has done something that has not been done before. Led by it's president Andrew Wyatt and his dedication, API an animal rights organization who's main purpose is to remove all animals ( I mean every and all animals) from private ownership (especially reptiles) was defeated in North Carolina. This is unprecedented. API has been sweeping across the country state by state introducing legislation to ban our beloved animals by the worst of underhanded tactics including hijacking bills then handpicking and appointing people to the committees that oversee the bill itself. This and other tactics have been successful for them getting similar legislation passed in other states. That is until they came to NC. They must be stopped and we continue to need your support. Go to ncark.org to find out more.

06/23/2007 - We updated our breeders and keepers page. Pics of the male and female that produce our Red Line litters are up. Along with some other breeder animals. Everyone is curious as to what Ginger looks like. Well as soon as she finishes her shed cycle I will snap a few pics and add her to the page. Now when she is posted on the page don't expect to see a Jungle or anything that resembles a Jungle. She is far from anything that looks like one but the babies she produces are a different matter.

06/02/2007 - We will be in Columbia S.C. June 16&17 at the S.C. Reptile and Exotic Animal Show. This is S.C.'s largest show. It is held twice a year and always has a good selection of reptiles with some top notch breeders and vendors. We had a great time there last November and met some really nice people. If you plan on going to this show please stop by and say "hey" and chat with us. We will be bringing some of our best animals to have on display and for sale.

05/11/2007 - The Raleigh NC show was very successful at least for us. We enjoyed 6200 visitors at the 2 day show. It looks to be headed back in the right direction. Hopefully it will pull crowds of 12,000+ in the near future as it once did. Thanks to all that stopped by. We enjoyed talking to everyone.

Something new added last week. We are now accepting Visa, Master card and Discover.

Will be updating the for sale page in the next few days. There will be babies from 2 Harlequin litters including hypos however, don't overlook the "normals". Trust me when I say they are not "normal" by a long shot especially as they start to grow. We will also be posting a few of the Ginger Salmons. I think you will agree there is something special about these babies.

05/5-6/2007 - The "Reptile and Exotic Animal Show" is in town so come down and see us this weekend at Dorton Arena in Raleigh, NC. Show

04/16/2007 - This is a list of breedings and litters. What a blast! Baby boas!!!!!

3/16/07 - DH stripeline alb X DH stripeline albino - 2 albinos 7 66% poss. hets

3/28/07 - Het albino X Het albino - 11 normals? Albinos from these 2 last year, none this year. Genetics, you can't control it!

3/31/07 - Ginger X Super Salmon - 32 Ginger Salmons. Our most anticipated litter this year. I still can't call them anything other than exceptional. However the gene and characteristics have carried on with 3 different males. This litter shows the traits of her first litter with the varying degrees of striping and abberencies. The only difference with this litter is they are SALMONS! You may have to wait to see them though until we figure out what's going on. We may tease a few at the Raleigh show with a few on display.

4/2/07 - Normal X Normal - 23 babies

4/11/07 - Harlequin Salmon X Circleback L/T - 12 babies 7 Harle/Salmons 5 Harlequins. Absolutely stunning! The parents are breeding on the breeder page.

4/14/07 - Harlequin hypo/Bcc X Normal - 13 babies 6 harle/hypos 7 normals

04/16/2007 - We got some bugs worked out here on the web site and are updating some photos and info. Some price changes and terms of sale changes are also updated.

04/14/2007 - We had 6 gravid females from our first round of breeding this season and on 04/14/07 the last female gave birth. We were really fortunate this year with good litters even though there was a couple of the girls making me nervous. They pleasantly surprised with strong healthy babies. Will list the breedings and outcomes later.

08/18/2006 - A much overdue update has been started. More to be added over the next week. We posted some of this years babies and more than pleased with some of the outcomes. However, there was some disappointments but we are keeping our chin up and moving forward. We are updating our breeder and keeper page also. I like to think we are putting together a modest collection that some will envy. We are still young at the boa breeding game and will continue to improve. So take look and let us know if we can put something together for you or maybe a comment on our collection and offspring. Stop by and see us in Raleigh Sept. 2-3. Don't forget to sign the petition on Senate Bill 1032 to fight for our rights to keep the reptiles we love and care about.

09/01/2004 - Finally opened the site. It's been alot of hard work up until this point. The "For Sale" page isn't up just yet, but soon we will list all of the animals. In the meantime, please browse our piece of the web and let us know if you have any suggestions.
